potato

By laexpo2026

Recorded on a potato. The FISHY 60 model — a toy cassette recorder — is the closest thing in the library to a root vegetable as a recording medium. WOW at 85 for lurching, desperate pitch instability. FLUTTER at 75 for violent trembling. SATURATE at 95 for the kind of magnetic distortion that suggests the tape itself is made of starch. FAILURE at 85 for constant drops, snags, and crinkles — the sound of something barely holding together. High NOISE with HISS cranked to 110 and MECHANICAL NOISE pulled low to 20 for maximum VCR-vegetable texture. CRINKLE/POP at 95 for relentless micro-disintegration. SPREAD for a malfunctioning stereo field that cannot decide where it is. AUX set to FAIL — tap it when the potato needs to fully give up. VOLUME boosted slightly to compensate for all the signal lost to agricultural interference. This is a bad recording. It is your fault for asking.
