Chase Bliss Generation Loss MKII — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Chase Bliss Generation Loss MKII from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 9 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Nitelite gives the Generation Loss MKII a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 2). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
WOWCC 14Slow, smooth, random pitch modulation depth. Classic tape-style motion.
VOLUMECC 15Wet signal output level. Noon=unity, max=2x boost. When ramping, controls speed.
MODELCC 16MKII: steps through tape machine models. CLASSIC: low-pass filter cutoff.
FLUTTERCC 17Fast twitchy random modulation affecting amplitude and pitch
SATURATECC 18MKII: magnetic saturation. CLASSIC: sample rate reduction (GEN).
FAILURECC 19MKII: tape malfunctions (snags, drops, crinkles). CLASSIC: high-pass filter.

Alt / Secondary Knob Functions

ControlMIDI CCDescription
HISS LVLCC 27Sets hiss noise component level independently
MECH NOISECC 28Sets mechanical noise level independently
CRINKLECC 29Sets crinkle and pop level in FAILURE effect
AUX ONSETCC 24How quickly AUX effects set in when activated

Switches

SwitchMIDI CCPositions
AUXCC 21STOP / FAIL / FILTER
DRYCC 22NONE / SMALL / UNITY
NOISECC 23OFF / MED / HIGH

DIP Switches — RAMP / EXPRESSION

ControlMIDI CCDescription

FAILURE/HPCC 64Enable ramping/expression control for FAILURE/HP knob
MODEL/LPCC 65Enable ramping/expression control for MODEL/LP knob
BOUNCECC 66Bounce mode (continuous LFO) vs Ramp (one-shot movement)
RANDOMCC 67Random waveform for bounce movement instead of triangle
SWEEPCC 68Sweep direction: Bottom (B, knob=min) or Top (T, knob=max)

DIP Switches — CUSTOMIZE

ControlMIDI CCDescription
POLARITYCC 71Ramp polarity: Forward (F) or Reverse (R)
CLASSICCC 72Classic Mode: original CooperFX Generation Loss sound and features
MISOCC 73Mono In, Stereo Out: splits mono signal into stereo image
SPREADCC 74Stereo processing. MKII: malfunctioning stereo from FAILURE. CLASSIC: smooth panning from WOW.
DRY TYPECC 75Saturated dry blend: applies all effects except WOW/FLUTTER to dry signal
DROP BYPCC 76Bypass drops (volume manipulation) from FAILURE effect
SNAG BYPCC 77Bypass snags (pitch warping) from FAILURE effect
HUM BYPCC 78Bypass mechanical noise from NOISE toggle

Footswitches

  • AUXbypass on CC 103, hold on CC 105
  • BYPASSbypass on CC 102, hold on CC 104

Special MIDI Functions

  • Expression — CC 100
  • DSP Bypass Mode — CC 26. Switches between true analog bypass (off) and DSP bypass (on), which keeps the DSP active for trails and faster preset recall.
  • Ramp/Bounce — CC 52. Enables or disables the ramp/bounce movement for parameters assigned in the RAMP/EXPRESSION DIP bank.
  • Ramp Speed — CC 20. Controls how fast the ramp or bounce movement travels between the start and end positions.
  • Input Gain — CC 32. Sets the input sensitivity: 1 = Line level, 2 = Instrument level (default), 3 = High gain.
  • Center Switch — CC 106. Triggers the center aux switch, equivalent to physically pressing the center footswitch.
  • Right Switch — CC 107. Triggers the right aux switch, equivalent to physically pressing the right footswitch.

Hardware Presets

The Generation Loss MKII has 122 hardware preset slots. Nitelite can save your current settings to a slot and recall slots via MIDI program change.
