1B Useful Ambience into 4A Tape Echo in series. The Useful Ambience is set to a medium-large room — enough to bloom and fill the space between your triad voicings without swallowing them whole. Diffusion is kept moderate so individual notes stay identifiable inside the wash; you can still hear the character of each open string and the spread of the voicing. The room breathes around your playing rather than absorbing it. The Tape Echo is short — slapback territory, around a third of a second — with low stability so there's just a whisper of warmth and magnetic softness on the repeat, not a full second echo that would clutter your next chord. It acts more like a gentle bloom extension than a distinct delay event. Think of it as the reverb having a shadow. EQ on both channels sits just slightly dark to keep things lush and woody rather than glassy or piercing. Glue is mild compression territory — enough to even out the attack differences between your open strings and fretted notes, which matters a lot with open triads where some notes naturally ring louder than others. TRAILS is on so when you lift your hand the sound fades out naturally and gracefully rather than cutting. SPREAD is on for gentle stereo width — your triads will feel like they occupy a real physical space.
