Darkglass Alpha·Omega Photon — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Darkglass Alpha·Omega Photon from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 14 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Nitelite gives the Alpha·Omega Photon a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 1). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
COMPRESSIONCC 20One-knob compression. Sets the input gain into the compressor; an intelligent make-up gain algorithm keeps the compressor output at usable levels regardless of how much compression is applied. The active compression ratio is selected by encoder A.
DRIVECC 21Adds distortion and drive to the signal. Crank to apply the Alpha·Omega distortion to the distorted side of the signal chain. The character of the distortion is set by the MOD knob (Alpha vs. Omega blend) and by encoder B (distortion mode: clean Alpha·Omega, +GROWL, +BITE, +GROWL & BITE, or Studio Rig +GROWL & BITE).
MODCC 22Selects or mixes between the Alpha and Omega circuits. Alpha is punchy and tight with a lot of definition; Omega is simply brutal and raw. Fully counter-clockwise = pure Alpha, fully clockwise = pure Omega, intermediate positions blend the two.
BLENDCC 23Mixes between the distorted/preamp signal and the clean sidechain signal. Depending on the distortion/preamp setting, the clean sidechain is either full-band or low-band. Useful for keeping a tight, articulate low end while running heavy drive on the distorted side.
LEVELCC 24Master volume of the Alpha·Omega Photon. Controls the volume of the instrument input at all four outputs (1/4" balanced, headphone, XLR DI). Has no effect on USB / Aux / Bluetooth audio, and no effect when the pedal is bypassed.
EQ LOWCC 30Band 1 of the 6-band graphic EQ (low shelf by default; reassignable to 100 Hz in the Darkglass Suite). Range -12 dB to +12 dB; 64 = 0 dB. Swipe upwards on the physical touch slider to boost, downwards to cut. Double-tap to reset to 0 dB.
EQ 250CC 31Band 2 of the 6-band graphic EQ (250 Hz by default; reassignable to 200 Hz in the Suite). -12 dB to +12 dB, default 64 = 0 dB.
EQ 500CC 32Band 3 of the 6-band graphic EQ (500 Hz by default; reassignable to 400 Hz in the Suite). -12 dB to +12 dB, default 64 = 0 dB.
EQ 1.5KCC 33Band 4 of the 6-band graphic EQ (1.5 kHz by default; reassignable to 800 Hz in the Suite). -12 dB to +12 dB, default 64 = 0 dB.
EQ 3KCC 34Band 5 of the 6-band graphic EQ (3 kHz by default; reassignable to 1.6 kHz in the Suite). -12 dB to +12 dB, default 64 = 0 dB.
EQ HIGHCC 35Band 6 of the 6-band graphic EQ (high shelf by default; reassignable to 3.2 kHz in the Suite). -12 dB to +12 dB, default 64 = 0 dB.

Footswitches

  • Abypass on CC 80
  • Bbypass on CC 81
  • Cbypass on CC 82

Special MIDI Functions

  • Performance Lock — CC 87. Locks all potentiometers, touch sliders, and encoder rotations to prevent accidental parameter changes during a live performance. Preset switching (A/B/C), tuner mode and bypass mode still respond. On hardware this is toggled by pressing footswitches A and C simultaneously.
  • Tuner Toggle — CC 86. Toggles the built-in five-octave chromatic tuner (A0 to A#5, A4 = 440 Hz). On hardware this is entered by pressing footswitches B and C simultaneously; the pedal mutes its outputs while tuning.

Hardware Presets

The Alpha·Omega Photon has 6 hardware preset slots. Nitelite can save your current settings to a slot and recall slots via MIDI program change.
