Tutorial: Save and Share Your First Preset

Goal: turn a sound you’ve dialed in into a saved, shareable preset — and grab a great one from the community on the way.

You’ll need: a connected pedal and a free account.

Part 1: Save Your Sound

1. Dial something in

   Get your pedal sounding good — by hand, or with the Tone Terminal. If you’re just following along, click Randomize in the action toolbar until something interesting happens.

2. Click Save in the pedal header

   

3. Describe it well

   • Name it something you’ll recognize on a gig: “Sunday morning swell”, not “preset 3”.
   • Description: one or two lines on what it’s for. Future-you will thank you.
   • Tags: comma-separated genres or moods (“ambient, tape, lo-fi”) — these power the Library’s tag filters.
   • Leave Private off to share it with the community, or flip it on to keep it yours.

4. Save

   It’s now in Library → My Presets, synced to your account on any computer.

Part 2: Load Someone Else’s

1. Browse the Library

   Click Library in the sidebar. Filter to your pedal with the All Pedals dropdown — no point falling in love with a preset for hardware you don’t own.

   

2. Open a preset

   Cards with a Terminal badge were AI-generated and include the original prompt — a nice window into what to ask for.

   

3. Load into Pedal

   One click applies every parameter and sends it to your hardware. Play through it before you judge — descriptions lie, ears don’t.

4. Make it yours

   Like it? Hit the heart. Want to tweak it? Save Copy puts an editable duplicate in My Presets. Love the creator? Follow them and watch the Following tab.

Where to Go Next

• Group related presets into a pack under My Packs — one per gig, genre, or pedal.
