Hologram Electronics Chroma Console — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Hologram Electronics Chroma Console from your browser — MIDI control reference, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Explore the Chroma Console controls in your browser and connect compatible MIDI hardware to send settings to your pedal. The reference below shows the controls mapped in Nitelite; available functions depend on the pedal and firmware. The default MIDI channel in Nitelite is 1. Browser MIDI control works in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
TILTCC 64Controls tone/EQ of Character module — center is neutral, left is darker, right is brighter. Also interacts with saturation parameters.
RATECC 66Controls rate/frequency of Movement module effect (doubling time, vibrato speed, phaser rate, tremolo rate, pitch shift)
TIMECC 68Controls time parameter of Diffusion module (delay time, reverb size, loop subdivision, reverse speed)
MIXCC 70Blends between input and effected signal — start at 100% and blend in dry signal as needed
AMOUNT (CHAR)CC 65Intensity of the selected Character effect (overdrive amount, compression, fuzz, swell attack/decay)
AMOUNT (MOV)CC 67Intensity of the selected Movement effect (modulation depth, doubling amount, pitch mix)
AMOUNT (DIFF)CC 69Intensity of the selected Diffusion effect (feedback/repeats, reverb mix, loop manipulation)
AMOUNT (TEX)CC 71Intensity of the selected Texture effect (filter cutoff, compression, tape artifacts, breakdown, interference)

Alt / Secondary Knob Functions

ControlMIDI CCDescription
SENSITIVITYCC 72Fine-tunes headroom for Character drive effects — adjusts breakup point and reactivity
DRIFTCC 74Adds randomness and instability to Movement effects — from subtle variation to tape-like warble and chaos
DRIFTCC 76Adds pitch modulation and signal degradation to Diffusion effects
OUTPUT LEVELCC 78Attenuates or boosts the overall FX output level
EFFECT VOLCC 73Output volume of the Character module within the signal chain
EFFECT VOLCC 75Output volume of the Movement module within the signal chain
EFFECT VOLCC 77Wet output volume of the Diffusion module
EFFECT VOLCC 79Output volume of the Texture module within the signal chain

Special MIDI Functions

  • Tap Tempo — CC 93
  • Character Bypass — CC 103. Bypasses the Character effect module. 0-63 = bypassed, 64-127 = engaged.
  • Movement Bypass — CC 104. Bypasses the Movement effect module. 0-63 = bypassed, 64-127 = engaged.
  • Diffusion Bypass — CC 105. Bypasses the Diffusion effect module. 0-63 = bypassed, 64-127 = engaged.
  • Texture Bypass — CC 106. Bypasses the Texture effect module. 0-63 = bypassed, 64-127 = engaged.
  • Gesture Play/Rec — CC 80. Controls gesture recording/playback. 0-63 = Play (triggers playback of a recorded gesture), 64-127 = Record (arms gesture recording).
  • Calibration Menu — CC 95. Opens or exits the calibration menu on the pedal. 0-63 = Exit, 64-127 = Enter.
  • Dual Bypass — CC 92. Controls the overall bypass state: 0-31 = Total Bypass (both input and output muted), 32-63 = Dual Bypass (dry signal passes, effects muted), 64-127 = Total Engage (fully active)
  • Capture — CC 82. Controls the Capture looper/sustainer: 0-43 = Stop/Clear, 44-87 = Play (loops the captured audio), 88-127 = Record (captures incoming audio).
  • Calibration Level — CC 94. Sets the input calibration level: 0-31 = Low, 32-63 = Medium, 64-95 = High, 96-127 = Very High. Adjust to match your instrument's output level.
  • Gesture Stop/Erase — CC 81. Stops or erases a recorded gesture. Send any value (0-127) to trigger.

Hardware Presets

Chroma Console has 80 hardware preset slots, recalled using MIDI Program Change. Saving requires an action on the pedal; follow the hardware preset manager instructions.
