Red Panda Radius — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

MIDI control for the Red Panda Radius ring modulator and frequency shifter — carrier frequency, pitch tracking, 8-step modulator and 100 presets.

Nitelite gives the Radius a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 1). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
MIXCC 14Dry/wet mix. Adjusts the wet/dry blend, from 100% dry to 100% wet.
TRACKCC 18Carrier frequency TRACK input pitch (monophonic): -100% to +100%, off at center (64). Center frequency is C4. At +100% the sidebands move up and down harmonically; negative tracking makes the sidebands farther apart at lower pitches.
FREQCC 16Carrier oscillator frequency (0.65 - 4,000 Hz across the three ranges). Increasing the carrier frequency spreads out the upper and lower sidebands; decreasing it moves them towards the input signal.
RING MOD / FREQ SHIFTCC 15Adjusts the balance between upper and lower harmonics and adds feedback. Morphs the output from frequency shift down (about 32) through ring modulation (64) to frequency shift up (about 96); below 32 and above 96 adds feedback (FDBK).
RATECC 22Modulation rate — adjusts the LFO speed (0.1 - 55 Hz). With the envelope follower selected, RATE controls the release time. With X- / X+ it controls the speed of the sweep.
AMOUNTCC 24Modulation depth — adjusts the range of carrier frequency changes. With X- / X+ it controls the width of the sweep, up to +/-3 octaves around the FREQ setting. Set to maximum to play a step modulator sequence at full scale.
STEP 1CC 70Step modulator step 1 level.
STEP 2CC 71Step modulator step 2 level.
STEP 3CC 72Step modulator step 3 level.
STEP 4CC 73Step modulator step 4 level.
STEP 5CC 74Step modulator step 5 level.
STEP 6CC 75Step modulator step 6 level.
STEP 7CC 76Step modulator step 7 level.
STEP 8CC 77Step modulator step 8 level.
LAST STEPCC 78Step mod last step (1-8) — sets the length of the sequence. Can be assigned to the expression pedal to change sequence length dynamically.

Special MIDI Functions

  • Tap Tempo — CC 89
  • Expression — CC 4
  • Mod Envelope Trigger — CC 82. Turns modulation envelope triggering on (64-127) or off (0-63). When on, the modulation waveform is retriggered by your playing; the triangle and square LFOs play in one-shot mode. Not available with Random 2 or the envelope follower.
  • Receive MIDI Clock (global) — CC 110. Turns MIDI clock reception on (64-127) or off (0-63). This is a global setting and is remembered when power is turned off. To disable clock sync for a single preset, set its note division to Off.
  • ON Footswitch (momentary) — CC 81. Emulates a press of the ON footswitch (64-127 press, 0-63 release). Holding the ON footswitch from bypass for 400 ms or more gives momentary-on behaviour.

Hardware Presets

The Radius has 100 hardware preset slots. Nitelite can save your current settings to a slot and recall slots via MIDI program change.
