Empress Effects Reverb — MIDI Editor & CC Reference
Control the Empress Effects Reverb from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 9 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.
Nitelite gives the Reverb a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 3). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

MIDI CC
Description
DECAY
CC 21
Controls how long the reverb tail takes to decay. Higher values produce longer, more sustained reverb tails
MIX
CC 22
Sets the ratio of wet (reverb) to dry (unaffected) signal. Fully counterclockwise is 100% dry, fully clockwise is 100% wet, with 50/50 at roughly 2 o'clock
OUTPUT
CC 23
Controls the overall output volume. 12 o'clock is unity gain
LOW
CC 24
Controls the low-frequency EQ/damping of the reverb tone. Adjusts the warmth and body of the reverb
HI
CC 25
Controls the high-frequency EQ/damping of the reverb tone. Adjusts the brightness and air of the reverb
THING 1
CC 26
Mode-dependent parameter. Changes function per reverb type: modulation rate, pre-delay time, rattle decay, sparkle level, delay time, reverse swell time, mod rate, delay level, warble, glitch speed, and more. See mode reference for details
THING 2
CC 27
Mode-dependent parameter. Changes function per reverb type: early reflection level, modulation depth, rattle level, sparkle length, delay feedback, reverse modulation, diffusion, dirtiness, glitch tone, and more. See mode reference for details
Concert Hall: modulation depth that adds lush movement to the tail. Modern Hall: pre-delay time before reverb onset
EARLY REFLECTION
CC 27
Early reflection level -- controls the initial reflections that define the sense of space before the reverb tail
Plate
Control
MIDI CC
Description
PRE-DELAY TIME
CC 26
Pre-delay time before the plate reverb onset. Adds separation between the dry signal and the reverb
EARLY DECAY / REFLECTION
CC 27
Classic Plate: bright early decay character. Studio Plate: early reflection level
Spring
Control
MIDI CC
Description
RATTLE / TREM RATE
CC 26
Bright/Dark/Drip Spring: rattle decay that controls the metallic spring bounce character. Overdriven: rattle decay and level. Spring+Trem: tremolo rate
Pre-delay time before the room reverb onset. Helps separate the dry signal from the room ambience
EARLY REFLECTION
CC 27
Early reflection level -- controls the density and prominence of initial room reflections
Sparkle
Control
MIDI CC
Description
SPARKLE LVL / OCT DOWN
CC 26
Sparkle: level of the shimmering octave-up harmonics. Glummer: octave-down blend amount
SPARKLE LEN / OCT UP
CC 27
Sparkle: length/sustain of the sparkle effect. Glummer: octave-up amount for pitch-shifted textures
Modulation
Control
MIDI CC
Description
MOD / TREM RATE
CC 26
Modulated/Chorused/Flanged: modulation rate that controls the speed of the pitch wobble. Tremolo Reverb: tremolo rate
MOD / TREM DEPTH
CC 27
Modulated/Chorused/Flanged: modulation depth that controls the intensity of the movement. Tremolo Reverb: tremolo depth
Ambient Swell
Control
MIDI CC
Description
SWELL / GATE / SPEED
CC 26
Triggered Swell: swell time that controls how quickly the reverb fades in. Gate Swell: gate attack time. Freezification: transition speed. Seed: diffusion amount
MOD / OCT / FROZEN
CC 27
Triggered Swell: modulation depth. Gate Swell: octave-up volume. Freezification: frozen sound level. Seed: size of the growing reverb tail
Delay + Reverb
Control
MIDI CC
Description
DELAY TIME / BLEND / DIFF
CC 26
Single Tap/Filtered: delay time. Blend-able: blend ratio of reverb vs delay. Skitter: diffusion of the morphing delays
FEEDBACK / SIZE
CC 27
Single Tap/Blend-able/Filtered: delay feedback for repeats. Skitter: size of the delay-to-reverb morph
