Eventide H9 Harmonizer — MIDI Editor & CC Reference
Control the Eventide H9 Harmonizer from your browser — MIDI control reference, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.
Explore the H9 Harmonizer controls in your browser and connect compatible MIDI hardware to send settings to your pedal. The reference below shows the controls mapped in Nitelite; available functions depend on the pedal and firmware. The default MIDI channel in Nitelite is 1. Browser MIDI control works in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.
Knobs
| Control | MIDI CC | Description |
|---|---|---|
| MIX | CC 22 | Wet/dry mix — 100% is all wet signal. Present on virtually every algorithm. |
| PARAM 1 | CC 23 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Decay, Pitch A/B Mix, or main effect control). Consult the loaded algorithm for details. |
| PARAM 2 | CC 24 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Size, Pitch Shift A, Delay Time A, or secondary control). |
| PARAM 3 | CC 25 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Pre-Delay, Pitch Shift B, Delay Time B, or tertiary control). |
| PARAM 4 | CC 26 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Low Band, Delay A, or filter control). |
| PARAM 5 | CC 27 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically High Band, Delay B, or modulation control). |
| PARAM 6 | CC 28 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Modulation, Depth, Feedback A, or shape control). |
| PARAM 7 | CC 29 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Rate, Speed, Feedback B, or resonance control). |
| PARAM 8 | CC 30 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Feedback, Tone, Filter, or secondary modulation). |
| PARAM 9 | CC 31 | Algorithm-dependent parameter (typically Contour, Xnob, or additional control). Note: some algorithms leave KB9 unused. |
Footswitches
- ACTIVE — CC 22
- TAP — CC 23
Special MIDI Functions
- Expression — CC 15
- Bypass Toggle — CC 9. Toggle between Active and Bypass ([TOG] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Sends the same CC to switch the H9 in and out of bypass. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Active / Bypass — CC 10. Directly enable (Active) or disable (Bypass) the effect ([ACT] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Value 127 = Active (effect on), value 0 = Bypass. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Performance Switch — CC 11. Toggle or enable the Performance Switch function ([PSW] in H9 RCV.CTL). Used for Infinite Repeat on TimeFactor, Rate Change on ModFactor, HotSwitch on Space, and similar per-algorithm functions. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Tuner — CC 12. Enable the built-in chromatic tuner ([TUN] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Value 127 activates the tuner; audio output mutes by default while tuning. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Input Swell — CC 13. Enable or disable Input Swell on the current preset ([ISW] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Input Swell uses the expression pedal to reduce the input signal before the effect. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Output Swell — CC 14. Enable or disable Output Swell on the current preset ([OSW] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Output Swell uses the expression pedal to reduce the output signal after the effect, useful for volume fade-outs. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Preset +1 (Cue) — CC 16. Cue (select without loading) the next preset ([PR+] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). The preset number increments in the display but is not loaded until the Active footswitch is pressed. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Preset -1 (Cue) — CC 17. Cue (select without loading) the previous preset ([PR-] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). The preset number decrements in the display but is not loaded until the Active footswitch is pressed. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Load Next Preset — CC 18. Immediately load the next preset ([NXT] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Unlike Preset +1 (Cue), this loads the preset instantly without requiring a footswitch press. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
- Load Previous Preset — CC 19. Immediately load the previous preset ([LST] destination in H9 RCV.CTL). Unlike Preset -1 (Cue), this loads the preset instantly without requiring a footswitch press. Assign the matching CC on the H9 via System Mode > MIDI > RCV.CTL.
Hardware Presets
H9 Harmonizer has 99 hardware preset slots, recalled using MIDI Program Change. Saving requires an action on the pedal; follow the hardware preset manager instructions.
