Eventide ModFactor — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Eventide ModFactor from your browser — MIDI control reference, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Explore the ModFactor controls in your browser and connect compatible MIDI hardware to send settings to your pedal. The reference below shows the controls mapped in Nitelite; available functions depend on the pedal and firmware. The default MIDI channel in Nitelite is 1. Browser MIDI control works in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

ControlMIDI CCDescription
INTENSITYCC 22Controls the intensity of the effect (0-99%). For TremoloPan Bias type, controls Drive amount. For TremoloPan Opto type, controls input slew rate (Edge).
TYPECC 23Selects the sub-type/variation within the current effect. Each effect has 2-5 types (e.g., Chorus: Liquid, Organic, Shimmer, Feedback, Biphase).
DEPTHCC 24Sets the modulation sweep range from narrow to wide. The Billboard animates to show the sweep range.
SPEEDCC 25Sets the modulation sweep rate. When Envelope or ADSR Shape is selected, Speed becomes Sensitivity. If Slow Mode is enabled, an "S" prefix is added to the Speed value.
SHAPECC 26Selects LFO waveform shape: Sine, Triangle, Peak, Random, Square, Ramp, Square, SMP/HLD, Envelope, or ADSR. Expression Pedal can also be chosen as source.
XNOBCC 27Effect-type-dependent control. Chorus Liquid/Shimmer: Feedback. Chorus Organic: Manual Delay Offset. Phaser Negative/Positive/Feedback: Filter Stages. Phaser Biphase: Forward/Reverse. Q-Wah: Base Frequency. Flanger: Manual Delay Offset. ModFilter: Width (stereo only). Rotary: Tone. TremoloPan: Width (stereo only). Vibrato Modern/Vintage: Width (stereo only). Vibrato Retro: Filter Stages. Undulator Pitch: Spread. Undulator Feedbck: Feedback. RingMod: Tone.
D-MODCC 28Controls the amount of Amplitude Modulation (AM) applied by the secondary LFO to the Depth parameter. Fully counter-clockwise = secondary modulation off.
S-MODCC 29Controls the amount of Frequency Modulation (FM) applied by the secondary LFO to the Speed parameter. Fully counter-clockwise = secondary modulation off.
MOD RATECC 30Sets the secondary LFO rate, determining how fast D-Mod and S-Mod wiggle their targets. Ranges from 1/8 to 8X the Speed value. When Envelope/ADSR Mod Source, this becomes Sensitivity.
MOD SOURCECC 31Selects the secondary LFO modulation source: Sine, Triangle, Peak, Random, Ramp, Square, SMP/HLD, Envelope, or ADSR. Expression Pedal can also be chosen.

Footswitches

  • ACTIVECC 80
  • SLOW/FASTCC 81
  • TAPCC 82

Special MIDI Functions

  • Tap Tempo — CC 82
  • Expression — CC 15
  • Bypass — CC 80. When on, the ModFactor is bypassed (dry signal only). When off, the effect is engaged. Mirrors the left (Active) footswitch.
  • Slow/Fast (Brake) — CC 81. Toggle the Slow/Fast mode. For Rotary, switches between slow and fast cabinet speeds. Sending 127 engages Brake — gradually slows modulation to a stop. Mirrors the center footswitch.

Hardware Presets

ModFactor has 40 hardware preset slots, recalled using MIDI Program Change. Saving requires an action on the pedal; follow the hardware preset manager instructions.
