Destroys, mangles, or distorts the signal. Function varies per engine: distortion drive, tape saturation, signal dropout frequency, bit quantization, scratch noise, etc.
FILTER
CC 15
Ladder filter center-point frequency (fully closed at max, no filtering at min) or treble tone control depending on engine. In Ladder engine, controls the Moog-style ladder LPF cutoff.
MIX
CC 0
Wet/dry mix of the effect. 0 = full dry, 127 = full wet. In some engines, controls only the time-based signal or the overall combined level.
VARY

Variable function per engine: delay time (Tape), reverb decay (uVerb), sample rate reduction (Crush), envelope control (Ladder), compression (Radio), vinyl distortion/randomness (Vinyl), glitch input sensitivity (Glitch).
MOD
CC 56
Modulation parameter controlled by the Rate/Depth/Shape toggle. Adjusts LFO rate, depth, or shape of one of the two onboard LFOs depending on toggle position.
