| OUTPUT | CC 1 | Master volume control. Boosts signal up to +20dB or cuts by about -2dB. Unity gain is around the 9:00-10:00 position (~40). Can also be used as an "underdrive" when set below unity. |
| CIRCUIT | CC 2 | Selects between four discrete analog preamp circuits: JFET (transparent buffer), LOW-CUT (bass reduction for tighter sound), STUDIO (Pultec-inspired mid clarity), and E-PLEX (vintage tape echo preamp character). Each circuit has a unique frequency response and feel. |
