Universal Audio Woodrow '55 — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Universal Audio Woodrow '55 from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 8 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Nitelite gives the Woodrow '55 a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 1). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
INST VOLCC 22Instrument channel gain. Slightly brighter and more aggressive as you turn it up. Ganged (jumped) with Mic Vol when both are turned up. As volume rises, the amp becomes more overdriven and compressed — authentic tweed behavior.
MIC VOLCC 23Mic channel gain. Darker and cleaner than the Instrument channel, with more bottom end. Ganged (jumped) with Inst Vol when both are turned up. As volume rises, the amp becomes more overdriven and compressed.
OUTPUTCC 7Post-amp output level. At noon (running direct or into other pedals), output is roughly the same as bypassed volume. Not a control on the original amp — added for practical pedalboard use.
ROOMCC 30Amount of studio room ambience mixed into the signal. Fully off is like recording in an isolation booth; turning up adds ambience from the tracking-room mics. There is no fully-wet Room sound. Room has no effect when the cab is bypassed (No Cab) or in 4-cable mode — the Speaker LED blinks rapidly to indicate an inactive knob.
TONECC 31The amp's treble frequencies. Interactive with amp gain — as Tone is turned up, the pedal's overdrive and distortion increase. Start around noon for cleaner sounds, increase for more gain and brightness. This is the single tone control on the original 5E3 tweed circuit.
BOOSTCC 41Boost amount. Fully counter-clockwise (0) = OFF, no boost applied. As the knob is turned up, the selected boost circuit (KP-3K, Stock, or EP-III) adds gain and character to the amp's input.
