What You Need
Nitelite works in your browser — no software to install. Here’s what you need before you begin.
A Supported Pedal
Section titled “A Supported Pedal”Nitelite supports 90 pedals across 8 manufacturers:
| Manufacturer | Pedals |
|---|---|
| Chase Bliss Audio | 28 pedals |
| Strymon | 22 pedals |
| Source Audio | 21 pedals |
| Eventide | 6 pedals |
| Meris | 4 pedals |
| Empress Effects | 4 pedals |
| Hologram Electronics | 3 pedals |
| Line 6 | 2 pedals |
Your pedal must have a MIDI input. Check your pedal’s manual to confirm.
A USB-MIDI Interface
Section titled “A USB-MIDI Interface”Your pedal connects to your computer via MIDI cables. You’ll need a USB-MIDI interface — a small box that converts MIDI to USB. Common options include the Roland UM-ONE, Korg microKEY, and M-Audio UNO.
Connect your interface to your computer via USB, then run a standard 5-pin MIDI cable from the interface’s MIDI OUT to your pedal’s MIDI IN.
A Supported Browser
Section titled “A Supported Browser”Nitelite uses the Web MIDI API, which requires one of these browsers:
- Chrome (recommended)
- Edge
- Opera
- Brave
Firefox and Safari do not support Web MIDI by default. See Supported Browsers for details.
