Browser and device checks

Reading the guide and browsing pedals do not require MIDI access. Controlling hardware requires a browser and operating system that expose the Web MIDI API, plus the site’s MIDI permission.

Open Nitelite’s MIDI panel on that device. If MIDI is unavailable, check the browser’s current support and site permissions. Use the Web MIDI compatibility table for version-specific support.

Desktop Chrome or Edge is a practical starting point, but a browser name alone does not guarantee a working USB path. Mobile support also depends on the browser, operating system, adapter, and pedal connection. Verify the actual output list before planning a session around it.

  • Use the normal HTTPS app address. Web MIDI requires a secure context.
  • Allow MIDI in the browser’s site settings if you previously blocked it.
  • Check the USB cable carries data and the interface appears to the operating system.
  • Reopen the MIDI panel after reconnecting. Choose the intended output explicitly.
