Start the next session
You have a sound saved and a guitar in hand. Work down this list before you spend time re-dialing anything.
Before the first chord
Section titled “Before the first chord”- Power the pedal and check the audio path.
- Open MIDI and choose the output that reaches the board.
- Select the intended pedal. Check its channel and firmware choice.
- Load the named cloud preset you want, or recall a known hardware slot.
- Play a phrase and make one reversible control change to confirm the response.
If the last step fails, go straight to connection troubleshooting.
Returning to the settings already on screen? Use Sync to Pedal after checking the output and channel. This sends those settings to the hardware. It is especially useful after reconnecting or moving physical knobs; it does not bring the hardware’s sound back into the app.
If you just recalled a hardware slot, listen to that sound first. Sync would send the app’s values over it.
Before you stop
Section titled “Before you stop”- Save a keeper with a name you’ll recognize next week.
- Use Save as new if today’s sound is a variation worth keeping alongside the original.
- If you need the sound without a computer, write the hardware slot and test its recall.
- Add one useful note to the preset: where it worked, which pickup you used, or what you changed.
A note like Bridge pickup, mix lowered for rehearsal will be more useful next week than new preset 4.
