Cables and adapters
Before buying anything, open your exact pedal in the catalog and check its manual and the hardware setup guide in Channels instructions. Models from the same manufacturer can use different connections.
Follow the MIDI input

| USB MIDI | The manual explicitly supports MIDI over USB. Use a data cable; a charging cable may only supply power. |
| 5-pin MIDI IN | Connect a USB-MIDI interface’s OUT to the pedal’s IN. |
| TRS MIDI or control jack | Confirm the required wiring and adapter. TRS shape alone does not establish compatibility. |
| Manufacturer interface | Use the specified interface and wiring. A generic USB adapter may not support the pedal’s protocol. |
A USB port used for updates or a manufacturer’s editor does not necessarily expose standard MIDI to Nitelite. An expression jack is not automatically a MIDI input either.
Connecting more than one pedal
Section titled “Connecting more than one pedal”Use a suitable MIDI thru box, interface with multiple outputs, or a documented MIDI THRU path. Give pedals on the same message path distinct receive channels unless you intentionally want them to respond together.
Keep your audio wiring separate from your MIDI wiring. Reordering pedals on a screen cannot reroute audio cables.
