Find a starting point with AI
Start with a pedal you know and a short phrase you can repeat. Sign in and check your available generations. You can inspect suggestions without a MIDI output; hearing them requires your own connected rig.

Section titled “Describe the job”Open Tone, choose Generate, and try a brief like this on a reverb pedal:
A warm room around clean rhythm guitar. Keep the chord attack clear and the reverb behind the dry signal. Avoid a long tail.
Read the response before applying it. Check whether its choice of mode and controls fits what you meant.
Hear one change
Section titled “Hear one change”Choose Apply to pedal, play your phrase, and compare. If nothing changes at the hardware, check the MIDI connection before generating another suggestion.
Refine a specific problem
Section titled “Refine a specific problem”Use the response’s Refine action. Describe what you heard:
The character works, but the previous chord hangs over the next one. Shorten the tail and keep the mix similar.
If you adjusted the app’s controls yourself, attach the current settings so the next request has that context. Ask is useful when you want to understand a control without applying another settings block.
Keep the version you like
Section titled “Keep the version you like”Use Save to Library after applying, or Save in the pedal header. Give it a recognizable name and check its visibility. Use Revert if the new settings were a step backward.
