Strymon EC-1 — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Strymon EC-1 from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 8 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Nitelite gives the EC-1 a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 1). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
TIMECC 12Delay time from 50ms to 1 second — the virtual equivalent of sliding the record head closer to or farther from the playback head
MIXCC 16Balance of dry and wet signals — 100% dry at minimum, 50/50 at 3 o'clock, 100% wet at maximum
TAPE AGECC 13Controls the bandwidth of the tape — minimum for fresh full-bandwidth tape, higher values reduce high frequencies like worn tape
REPEATSCC 14Number of delay repeats from one to runaway saturated oscillation — 3 o'clock for sustained infinite repeats without runaway
MECHANICSCC 15Amount of mechanical speed fluctuations and media irregularities — minimum for clean, maximum for worn and wobbly

Special MIDI Functions

  • Expression — CC 100
  • Infinite Repeat — CC 97. Holds repeats in an infinite loop — send 127 to hold (engage infinite), 0 to release
  • MIDI Expression — CC 60. Enables or disables MIDI expression control. When on, the expression pedal CC (100) is active for real-time parameter sweeping.
  • MIDI Clock Sync — CC 63. Enables or disables MIDI clock sync. When on, EC-1 locks delay time to incoming MIDI clock tempo.
  • Preamp Boost — CC 19. Adjusts the boost level applied to the Modded or Original Tube Preamp (when enabled via Preamp Select), from 0dB (unity gain) to +6dB
  • Footswitch — CC 27. Simulates a footswitch press — sends 127 on press and 0 on release. Use to remotely toggle bypass or enter tap tempo mode from a MIDI controller.
