Special MIDI Functions

  • Expression — CC 100
  • MIDI Expression — CC 60. Enables or disables MIDI expression control. When on, the expression CC (100) controls the assigned parameter. Factory default: On.
  • MIDI Clock Sync — CC 63. Enables or disables MIDI clock sync. When on, Lex syncs rotor speed to incoming MIDI clock tempo (scaled by the Tempo Mult/Div setting). Factory default: Off.
  • Brake — CC 97. Applies a brake to the rotors — holds the rotor position while engaged (value 1-127) and releases when sent 0. Useful for dramatic stops via a footswitch or expression.
  • Speed (Full Range) — CC 13. Controls rotor speed across the full 0-127 range, independent of the Slow/Fast mode. Useful for continuous speed sweeps via expression or automation.
  • Slow Speed — CC 23. Sets the rotor speed used in Slow mode independently of the main SPEED knob.
  • Fast Speed — CC 24. Sets the rotor speed used in Fast mode independently of the main SPEED knob.
  • MIDI Clock Tempo Mult/Div — CC 25. When MIDI Clock Sync is on, sets the multiplier/divider applied to the incoming MIDI clock tempo. 0=x4, 1=x3, 2=x2, 3=x1 (unity), 4=1/2, 5=1/3, 6=1/4.
  • Remote Tap — CC 93. Sends a remote tap tempo pulse to Lex. Tap multiple times to set the rotor speed tempo. Any CC value triggers the tap.

Hardware Presets

Lex V2 has 300 hardware preset slots, recalled using MIDI Program Change. Saving requires an action on the pedal; follow the hardware preset manager instructions.
