Chase Bliss ONWARD — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Chase Bliss ONWARD from your browser — full MIDI CC reference for 9 parameters, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Nitelite gives the ONWARD a full browser-based control surface: turn every knob, flip every switch, describe the tone you want to the AI Tone Terminal, and save the results — all sent to the pedal live over MIDI (default channel 2). Works free in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Special MIDI Functions

  • Tap Tempo — CC 93
  • Expression — CC 100
  • MIDI Clock Sync — CC 51. When on, the pedal follows incoming MIDI clock to sync the SIZE parameter. When off, MIDI clock is ignored and SIZE is set manually or via tap tempo.
  • Ramp/Bounce — CC 52. Enables or disables the ramp/bounce movement globally for parameters assigned in the CONTROL DIP bank.
  • Dry Kill — CC 57. Removes the dry signal from the output, passing only the wet effect signal. Useful in parallel effects loops.
  • Trails — CC 58. When on, the effect signal fades naturally after bypass instead of cutting off immediately (buffered bypass with trails).
  • Ramp Speed — CC 20. Controls how fast the ramp or bounce movement travels between the start and end positions.
  • MIDI Sync Subdivision — CC 53. Sets the note subdivision used when syncing SIZE to MIDI clock. 0=Whole, 1=Dotted Half, 2=Half, 3=Dotted Quarter, 4=Quarter, 5=Dotted 8th, 6=8th, 7=8th Triplet, 8=Sixteenth.
  • Factory Reset — CC 56. Resets all settings and presets to factory defaults. This will erase all saved presets.
  • Retrigger Glitch — CC 108. Immediately retriggers the Glitch channel capture, restarting the sample from the current input.
  • Retrigger Freeze — CC 109. Immediately retriggers the Freeze channel capture, locking in a fresh snapshot of the current input.

Hardware Presets

The ONWARD has 122 hardware preset slots. Nitelite can save your current settings to a slot and recall slots via MIDI program change.
