Chase Bliss SPECTRE — MIDI Editor & CC Reference

Control the Chase Bliss SPECTRE from your browser — MIDI control reference, interactive editor, and AI-generated presets. Free, no install.

Explore the SPECTRE controls in your browser and connect compatible MIDI hardware to send settings to your pedal. The reference below shows the controls mapped in Nitelite; available functions depend on the pedal and firmware. The default MIDI channel in Nitelite is 3. Browser MIDI control works in Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave — no install required.

Knobs

ControlMIDI CCDescription
MIXCC 14Wet/dry mix. CW = full flange, CCW = clean with tube-like preamp character. Controls ramp speed when ramping is engaged.
ZEROCC 15Manual delay time / zero point. Through-zero crossing between 1 and 3 o'clock.
REGENCC 16Flange regeneration/intensity. CW = self-oscillation. CCW = subtle chorus.
RATECC 17Rate of flange modulation. Overridden by tap tempo.
WIDTHCC 18Width/depth of flange sweep. CW = deep flange.
SHIFTCC 19Modulation wave skew. CCW = fast up/slow down, CW = slow up/fast down, noon = symmetric.

Switches

DIP Switches — CONTROL

ControlMIDI CCDescription
ZEROCC 61Enable ramping/expression control for ZERO knob
REGENCC 62Enable ramping/expression control for REGEN knob
RATECC 63Enable ramping/expression control for RATE knob
WIDTHCC 64Enable ramping/expression control for WIDTH knob
SHIFTCC 65Enable ramping/expression control for SHIFT knob
BOUNCECC 66Ramp mode (off, one-shot) vs Bounce mode (on, back-and-forth)
SWEEPCC 67Sweep direction: Top (T, knob=max) or Bottom (B, knob=min)
POLARITYCC 68Flange polarity: Positive (musical sweep) or Negative (hollow/intense, cancels at zero). Default = Negative.

DIP Switches — CUSTOMIZE

ControlMIDI CCDescription
MOTBYPCC 71Momentary-to-bypass: pedal only active when bypass stomp is pressed
TAP CTRLCC 72Tap controls: R = ramp timing, P = rate parameter
TAP DIVCC 73Tap division bank: off = 1/2/4, on = 3/6/8. Also selects MIDI note divisions.
RISE (Z)CC 74Rise direction for ZERO ramp/expression
RISE (RG)CC 75Rise direction for REGEN ramp/expression
RISE (RT)CC 76Rise direction for RATE ramp/expression
RISE (W)CC 77Rise direction for WIDTH ramp/expression
RISE (S)CC 78Rise direction for SHIFT ramp/expression

Footswitches

  • TAPCC 102
  • BYPASSCC 102

Special MIDI Functions

  • Tap Tempo — CC 93
  • Expression — CC 100
  • MIDI Clock — CC 51. Controls whether the pedal listens to incoming MIDI Clock messages. On = listen (default); Off = ignore.
  • Ramp — CC 20. Controls ramp amount. Sending 0 is equivalent to the ramp knob fully counter-clockwise; 127 is fully clockwise.
  • MIDI Note Divisions — CC 21. Sets the tap tempo note division via MIDI. 0 = whole note, 1 = half note, 2 = quarter note triplet, 3 = quarter note, 4 = eighth note, 5 = sixteenth note.

Hardware Presets

SPECTRE has 122 hardware preset slots, recalled using MIDI Program Change. Saving requires an action on the pedal; follow the hardware preset manager instructions.
